Professors Michael Morrisey of the University of Alabama at Birmingham and David Grabowski of Harvard Medical School in a study found that for every 10 percent increase in gas prices there was a 2.3 percent decline in auto deaths. According to the Alabama Department of Public Safety an Atmore man was killed Tuesday night in a two car accident around 10 p.m. It occurred six miles north of Atmore on County Road 1.
